Day Twenty-One

For the last day of Blackjack Challenge, I chose to feature the Logan Gardener’s Market. It may seem like it should be a fairly easy assignment but in reality it’s sort of like the old adage of not being able to see the forest because of all the trees, i.e., there’s just so dang much going on around you it can be quite difficult to focus. As it was, quite frankly, I didn’t do nearly as well as I should have because I didn’t do any planning into what I could, would and might encounter. It is a big flaw in my whole approach to photography – just “shoot anything that gets in my way” mentality. But nonetheless, the photos weren’t a total disaster and there were a few nice ones despite my being woefully ill-prepared.

I also couldn’t resist taking a few more shots around our home before ending the challenge so I broke out the camera again and got the old standby pictures of a dog, some flowers and brick or two.

The photo of the gardener’s market vendor with the rainbow-colored patio umbrella is my pick for the photo of the day. It has a combination of bright colors to catch the eye with a nice balanced scene that tells the story of market’s unique ambiance.
