Oriental Poppies Rock!
I had no idea they came out of that hairy pod backwards. I'm going to have to scour my garden beds for cast-off pods now.

Race for the Cure 2006
Three things I learned from the Komen Race for the Cure this year:
Pre-race meeting place at the Depot
Don't forget your sunscreen!
Under the balloonbow
Watch out for bird poop
Rounding the corner (the streets are packed for as far as you can see)
Celebration doves
The dove lady
Hard to find anybody post-race, too
- When your shoes are shot, you might as well walk barefoot.
- Working out at Curves three times a week does not constitute "training" for a 5K.
- It's hard to find your walking partner among 14,000 people.

Blue sky out my office window two months later
Compare that view with the one I took back in February. It appears I've grown a giant evergreen in only 60 days!
