November 11

Flying stripes

Today I'm grateful for the men and women who have given themselves to the protection of our nation, now and in the past. Bring them home soon.

Leftovers in my fridge

I'm grateful to have leftovers in the fridge and not have to worry about where my next meal will be coming from. Unfortunately, too many families in Utah go to bed hungry. Be sure to donate canned goods and to your local emergency food pantry if you can this season. If you don't have the time to go shopping, or if you're not sure where your local pantry is located, try donating online. For every $1 you give, the Utah Food Bank can buy $13 worth of food!

November 9

Snowflakes in the garden

It's been such a warm and mild fall that one can easily forget we're already a more than a week into November. However, with the stormfront that moved in today, I'm grateful Hart moved my A/C unit out of my office window.

November 8

Popcorn and a movie

I'm grateful for hot popcorn, animated movies and snuggletime with Ruthie. There's nothing like a girls night in!

November 7

Hart shoulda brought a bigger broom to sweep the incumbents out

Even though being a Democrat doesn't get you very far here in Utah (in fact, not a single Dem was even running for any of the local county positions), I'm grateful for the right to vote. And I'm so relieved that America seems to have woken up and swept so many incumbents out.

November 6

Blaine has way too much fun with a golf club and his computer monitor

Once again, my scavenging butt has been saved by a co-worker and once again I am grateful for that save. This week's hunt was a golf club, and there were three extra points waiting for you if a motion blur was included. Thanks Blaine, for your excellent acting job! (It was acting, right?)

November 5

Salute by Dawn

I'm grateful to count myself among the Community Choir altos again this year. We'll be singing for the 9th Annual Christmas Benefit in the Tabernacle on December 10. Bring non-perishable food items for the local food pantry and your admission is free!
