WHO WE ARE
Cache Valley Threshold Singers, formed in 2020 in Logan, Utah, is made up of women who sing spiritual and comforting songs at the bedside of those who are seriously ill or at the threshold of life and death. We are a chapter of the international Threshold Choir organization, established in 2000 by Kate Munger. There are nearly 200 chapters around the world.
Our gentle music specifically communicates love, gratitude, compassion, grace, comfort, and peace. These soft, soothing lullaby-like songs, with simple melodies and rich harmonies, convey a calm presence and ease at tender times.
There is no charge. Our songs are our gift.
We sing in care facilities, hospitals and private homes. When invited, our members visit in groups of 3 to 5, singing a cappella for about 20 minutes at bedside. We offer our singing as gentle blessings, not as entertainment. Singing to ease a crisis is an honor and a service.
We are all volunteers who gladly sing for those who call on us, considering it an honor to sing at bedside. We look forward to serving the surrounding communities in Cache Valley with comforting songs in difficult times.
WHAT WE DO
SINGING IN THE TIME OF COVID-19
Because of the Covid-19 restrictions, Cache Valley Threshold Singers is not currently able to sing at bedside. However, we have prepared recordings of our music for hospitals and healthcare workers, spiritual counselors, music therapists, families and friends to download and play for those in need of comfort.
Our permissions to record these songs stipulate that they are only for patient-caregiver use listening privately and they are never to be posted or re-recorded on any social media, such as Facebook, Youtube, TikTok, or Instagram. We appreciate you honoring that request.
There are four categories of songs that we offer, and each download consists of three to four songs:
1. Calming and Comforting
2. Strength for Dear Ones
3. Blessings, Inspiration, and Hope
4. Spanish and Latin
To request the personal download, please email us at CacheValleyThresholdSingers@gmail.com.
